We are studying the impacts of subsidized shared transport services on visitations and consumption of affected POIs in Los Angeles, based on more than 45 million cell phone mobility data from 2018 to 2022, and conducting DiD methods to analyze the causal effects.

Main achievements: Conducted DiD for analyzing impact of PFTZ establishment on enterprise ESG performance, analyzed time variation of the effect through propensity score matching (PSM) method, found the establishment of PFTZ could improve the ESG performance of enterprises by improving their environment scores in ESG, but the effects on improving enterprise' social responsibility scores and governance scores are limited.

Research project in the 2022 Winter Research Program held by Cornell Institute for China Economic Research (CICER).
Main achievements: Based on 130,000+ emission data from southern California’s industry facilities, used DiD and nearest neighbor matching method and found that RECLAIM program contained the emissions of NOx and SOx significantly, and emission of pollutants had spatial heterogeneity.
